During the workshop, participants were informed about their rights and challenges when shopping online, as well as the possibilities in the event that their consumer rights are threatened, which were presented by Danijela Marković Krstić, head of the European Consumer Center Croatia at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. Also, last year the new Law on Consumer Protection came into force, so its novelties with an emphasis on consumer rights when purchasing products and services online could be heard.
In order to ensure a higher level of protection of consumer rights during cross-border shopping and to increase consumer confidence in the single EU market, the European Commission has provided a number of effective tools that will ensure that EU consumers, including Croatian consumers, feel safe when shopping cross-border in the European Union. of the Union.
